At Declarants, we attach great importance to the protection of your privacy and the security of your personal data. Special and/or sensitive personal data

Declarants does not make decisions on the basis of automated processing on matters that may have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without a human being (for example a Declarants employee) being involved.
How long we keep personal data
Declarants does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:
- Personal data: as long as necessary for the execution of our agreement and in accordance with statutory retention periods.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Declarants does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Declarants remains responsible for this processing.
Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use
Declarants uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
How we protect personal data
Declarants takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact legal@declarants.com.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us directly. If we cannot work it out together, we will of course find this very annoying. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, which is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.
